NDIS Occupational Therapy in Sydney

Occupational therapy helps NDIS participants build the practical skills, supports and confidence to live as independently as possible — at home, at work, and in the community. Our occupational therapists work with you on the everyday goals that matter most to you and your NDIS plan.

Create Allied Health Services is expanding, and we're bringing NDIS occupational therapy to Sydney participants. Registrations are open now — join the waitlist to be first in line when appointments open, and we'll keep you updated as we onboard.

What Our NDIS Occupational Therapists Can Help With

Occupational therapy (OT) is about helping you do the things you need and want to do, day to day. Our occupational therapists support goals such as:

  • Daily living skills — building independence with everyday tasks at home and in the community
  • Functional capacity assessments — evidence to support NDIS plans, reviews and funding requests
  • Assistive technology — recommendations for equipment and aids that support independence
  • Home modifications — assessments for changes that make your home safer and more accessible
  • Community participation — support to engage in work, study, social and community life
  • Capacity building — developing skills and routines aligned with your NDIS goals

What to Expect From Our Occupational Therapy Service

Every OT journey starts with understanding you — your environment, your routines, and the goals in your NDIS plan. From there, your occupational therapist works alongside you with a practical, evidence-based plan. A typical pathway looks like:

  • Initial assessment — we get to know your situation, your home or work environment, and what you want to achieve
  • Goal setting — clear, measurable goals aligned with your NDIS plan and Capacity Building funding
  • Therapy and support — hands-on skill building, equipment recommendations and reviews, delivered in person across Sydney or via telehealth
  • Reports and reviews — functional capacity assessments and progress reports to support your plan reviews and funding requests

How the NDIS Funds Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is most commonly funded under Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living in your NDIS plan. If you have this funding, you'll be able to access our OT supports once appointments open. We support participants whose plans are NDIA-managed, plan-managed or self-managed. Not sure how your plan is set up? Note it on the waitlist form and we'll help you work it out.
