NDIS Services Sydney

Overview

Create Allied Health is an NDIS-registered therapeutic supports provider delivering comprehensive disability support across Sydney and nationally via telehealth. Our qualified clinical social workers work alongside occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech pathologists to deliver coordinated, person-centred care that empowers participants to achieve their goals.

What Are NDIS Therapeutic Supports?

NDIS therapeutic supports are clinical interventions that help participants build skills, manage the psychosocial dimensions of disability, and participate more fully in daily life. They are delivered by registered allied health professionals — including social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, and physiotherapists — and are funded under the Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living budget in a participant's plan, not their Core supports.

For NDIS participants, therapeutic supports look different to general medical care. They are goal-directed, time-limited, and tied to the outcomes set out in a participant's NDIS plan — whether that is improving independence in daily living, building confidence in community settings, navigating mental health challenges, or coordinating across multiple services and systems.

What Is NDIS Capacity Building?

Capacity Building is one of the three main NDIS budget categories (alongside Core and Capital). It funds supports that build a participant's skills, independence, and ability to pursue their goals — rather than funding day-to-day assistance. Therapeutic supports, including clinical social work, sit within this category.

Typical Capacity Building goals our clinical team supports include developing daily living skills, strengthening social connections, navigating housing and accommodation transitions, building emotional regulation strategies, and improving engagement with services and supports.

How Social Work Is Funded Under the NDIS

Social work therapeutic supports are funded under the Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living budget in your NDIS plan. As an AASW-registered provider, our services are billed under the NDIS Pricing Arrangements using the specific social worker line item:

  • Therapeutic Supports — Item 15_621_0128_1_3 — Assessment, Recommendation, Therapy or Training

This means your social work sessions draw from your Capacity Building budget — not your Core supports. If you have Improved Daily Living funding in your plan, you can access our therapeutic supports.
